Manufactured by Mitsubishi, the A7M Reppū, also known as "Strong Gale," was developed as a successor to the famed A6M Zero during World War II. Designed to outperform Allied fighters, the A7M featured a powerful engine, increased speed, enhanced maneuverability, and improved armament. Despite its promising capabilities, production faced numerous delays, and the aircraft saw limited action before the war's end, making it a rare and significant piece of aviation history.

Variants of the A7M include the A7M1, powered by a Mitsubishi Ha-43 engine, and the more advanced A7M2, which featured a Nakajima Homare engine for greater performance. The A7M3, envisioned with enhanced armament and further aerodynamic refinements, remained a prototype. These variants represent the relentless pursuit of air superiority by Mitsubishi, encapsulating the evolution of Japanese fighter design in the latter stages of the war.
