View our selection of scale diecast models of the Mitsubishi G4M - Ready to Display, Replica & Miniature Airplane Models.

Manufactured by Mitsubishi, the G4M, also known as "Betty" by the Allies, was a prominent Japanese twin-engine medium bomber during World War II. Introduced in 1940, the G4M was notable for its long range and high speed, which made it a formidable asset for the Imperial Japanese Navy. The aircraft was primarily used for maritime operations, including torpedo attacks and reconnaissance missions.

The Mitsubishi G4M had several variants, each with specific enhancements. The G4M1 was the initial version, equipped with 1,530 hp Mitsubishi Kasei 11 engines. The G4M2 introduced improved armament and armor, featuring more powerful Kasei 21 engines and increased fuel capacity. The final variant, the G4M3, further enhanced durability with redesigned wings and self-sealing fuel tanks, addressing earlier vulnerabilities. These iterations showcased Mitsubishi's commitment to evolving the G4M's capabilities throughout the war.
